Cares & Shares Christmas Outreach
The Cares & Shares Christmas Outreach was a heartfelt initiative aimed at sharing the love of Christ with children in an indigenous community in Abuja.
Held in December, the outreach brought together families and children who participated by preparing and sharing gift packs with children in the host community. Beyond the exchange of gifts, the experience focused on teaching empathy, generosity, and the joy of giving. Each child in the community was also photographed and presented with a framed portrait bearing the message “Jesus Loves Me,” serving as a lasting reminder of their value and identity. The outreach created a meaningful opportunity for children to learn compassion in action while celebrating the true spirit of Christmas.

CBN Currency Museum Excursion (1 & 2)
The Currency Museum Excursion was an educational outing organised by Tender Learners to expose children to Nigeria’s economic history and deepen their understanding of money, trade, and national heritage.
Held twice in 2025, the excursion provided participating children with a guided learning experience through the museum, where they explored the evolution of Nigerian currency, symbols, and monetary systems. The sessions encouraged curiosity, thoughtful questions, and real-world connections beyond the classroom. Through this hands-on exposure, children gained a clearer appreciation of financial literacy, history, and the role of institutions in national development, making the excursion both informative and engaging.

Summer Book Exchange Picnic
The Summer Book Exchange Picnic was a relaxed outdoor event organised by Tender Learners to encourage reading, sharing, and community bonding among children.
The picnic created a welcoming space where children exchanged books, discovered new stories, and participated in guided reading and discussions in a fun, informal setting. Through the book exchange process, children practised negotiation, decision-making, and communication while learning the value of fairness and cooperation. Alongside reading activities, interactive games and social engagement helped reinforce essential life skills such as collaboration, confidence, and empathy.

Space Science and Art Excursion 2025
The Space Science and Art Excursion was an exciting learning adventure that took children on a journey through science, creativity, and imagination.
During the 2025 excursion, children visited the National Space Museum and the Nike Art Gallery, where curiosity came alive through interactive exhibits, space-themed learning, and vibrant works of art. From exploring ideas about space and innovation to experiencing creativity through visual storytelling, the outing sparked questions, conversations, and wonder. The blend of science and art encouraged children to think boldly, express themselves freely, and see learning as an exciting, limitless experience.

Our Book Club
A Virtual Reading Community for Tweens & Teens
The Tender Learners Book Club is a virtual reading community created specifically for tweens and teenagers.
Through guided reading sessions and meaningful discussions, members explore both fiction and non-fiction books while developing critical thinking, empathy, and strong values.
Our weekly meetings provide a safe and engaging space where young readers connect, share ideas, and learn practical life lessons through stories. The book club runs on a quarterly subscription and is thoughtfully structured to support consistent reading habits and personal growth.
